For the past few seasons IkerCasillas has been a subject of discussion as his future was a mystery. Real Madrid has been searching around the transfer market for a player who can replace the Spanish goalkeeper who at the age of 34 is reaching the twilight stages of his career.

Real Madrid has locked their eyes on Manchester United’s David de Gea and now IkerCasillas is being linked with a move to Porto. A move to Porto might seem a little hard to believe but recent reports are even unveiling details concerning the possible salary that Casillas will be receiving if he completes a transfer to Porto.

If a transfer does occur, the new contract of IkerCasillas will allow him on receiving €10m which is significantly lower than what he is currently earning in Real Madrid which is €25 million.

Luis Enrique has already reinforced his Barcelona squad by signing ArdaTuran and Real Madrid does not want to fall behind especially against their rivals and this is why David de Gea is the top summer priority of Real Madrid.

IkerCasillas does not play the same influential role that he used to have some time ago and his time at the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be reaching it’s end. The agent of IkerCasillas is Carlo Cutropia and he stated that Casillas is excited about the possibility of joining Porto.

Cutropia said: “An offer from Porto exists and Casillas is enthusiastic with that possibility. Now we have to wait to see what Real Madrid say.”

Casillas still has 2 more years left on his contract but Real Madrid will allow the experienced player on leaving the club if the player desires to leave and if a concrete offer is launched.

All fingers are pointing towards IkerCasillas ending his playing career with Real Madrid which has spanned for over 20 years with Porto being his next club.
